Free Wifi in Paris

Posté le vendredi 09 décembre 2005 à 07:30 PM

Well, I've got one hour to kill in Paris and my iBook. Where could I go ?

After a quick search on Google, I've found almost no interesting information. So ! Maybe you'll land here from a search engine... and I will be happy to share my informations with you.

There are a few websites where you will be able to find hotels, cafes and other places where you and your laptop will be welcomed, for free. In fact, you may be able to find a good signal almost everywhere, but probably overpriced...

First free provider: Adael Wi-Fi (there is an interactive flash map to find active hotspots).
Second one: Hotcafe (quick link to the directory).
Third one (where I'm sitting, writing this post)... McDonald's ! Just try to find a not overcrowed one (on the flash site, click on 'Guide des restos' button at the bottom of the page to find the nearest MC).

There are a few other directories, but I still need to review them. Anyway, if somebody has a great list or something like that, I would be happy to link.

Update : Of course, there is the e-dune bar near Belleville where I attended the MicroBarCampParis in December 2005. Free Wi-Fi for consumers, and the place is quite nice.
