I'm currently reading "The Design of The Unix Operating System", thanks to my University library. That's a great book, reviewing how the information is stored in the Unix kernel for System V (R2). He might have been written in 1986 (I was 1 year old at this time), the major part of his content is still highly up to date on Unix systems (and for some part, it seems that the Windows NT kernel use a lot of inherited concepts), and really useful to clarify their kernel sources.
In fact, that's not really the kind of book that I may have found on my eng. school library. Mhh, wait. Did I already told you that, in my junior year, I worked as a part time librarian here ? That's not really relevant but I just remembered this fact.
